About Us
Exciting times for such a progressive and friendly club. Although the senior teams have been around for over forty years, the Junior section only started in August 2003 with just four players. This has since developed into sixteen junior teams from the age of Under 7's to Under 18's and a regular group of new players attending the Saturday soccer training sessions which take place between 9.30am until 10.30am. The club provides a safe and friendly environment for players of all abilities to enjoy their footballing experience.In addition to our thriving Junior section we run a non-league Saturday Senior team, two Senior Sunday teams and a Veterans team established in October 2010, for the more Senior players that wish to play. All teams are well supported and are affiliated to the Staffordshire FA. The club has its own grounds staff in addition to the football committee who ensure that the playing facilities are kept in an excellent condition.
This is a private Sports Club which also supports two Senior cricket teams, several bowling teams and numerous other sporting activities that are run from the main club.
Charter Standard Club
Hawkins Sports Juniors FC gained the Charter Standard Award on the 12th November 2008. This award was presented by the Football Association to our Club after a lot of hard work by all of our committee members and managers. To achieve this award the Club must have Qualified coaches for each team, a Code of Conduct, a Club Constitution, Safeguarding children Welfare Officer, plus an assistant Welfare officer. All of our coaches are DBS checked, hold regular Committee meetings including an annual AGM meeting, the Club must also prove that it has current Public liability Insurance.
Now on top of this award Hawkins Sports FC has won the coveted Charter Standard Club of the year award, which was presented to us at the Burton Albion versus Walsall FC pre season friendly game in August 2012.
